Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry or success story, we may collect your name, email address, mobile number, course or subject, outcome, written story, optional photo, optional verification proof, consent status, source page and submission time.
Daily Tech Guesser
The game uses a random browser-session cookie to restore your progress and calculate your daily completion streak without a student account. The cookie expires after 30 days unless renewed by a game visit. We store your puzzle date, submitted guesses and result in the website database, and show aggregate participation and completion counts to authorised administrators. Changing browsers or clearing cookies can start a separate session.
Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand anonymous website usage such as visited pages, device type, general location and traffic source. Analytics remains disabled unless you select “Allow analytics”.
How information is used
Enquiry information is used to respond to you. Student-story information is used to review, verify, edit for clarity and, only with consent, publish approved stories on Gate Smashers channels.
Public and private story information
An approved story may display the student’s name, outcome, year, written experience and optional photo. Email addresses, mobile numbers and verification proof remain private and are available only to authorised Gate Smashers administrators.
Storage and access
Submitted information is stored in the website’s protected database and file storage. Unapproved stories are not displayed publicly, and administrative access is restricted to authorised Gate Smashers team members.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, withdraw or remove submitted information through the Contact page. Consent is never pre-selected on our forms.
External platforms
Paid-course checkout and learning may continue on an external course platform. YouTube playlists and other external resources are governed by their respective privacy practices.
